How it works
In three steps.
- 1
Upload the document
Add your PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint file. A scanned image PDF will not work, so use a file with real text. Up to 10 files fit in one fad.
- 2
Set the welcome and questions
Write a welcome message that says what the document is. Add three suggested questions, like "What is the claim process?", so people know what to ask first.
- 3
Share with the right people
For a public scheme guide, make it public. For a society rulebook or company manual, keep it private and allow only specific Google emails to open it.

Questions people ask
How long can the document be?
Each file can be up to 25 MB, which covers most manuals and reports with hundreds of pages. You can add up to 10 sources to one fad on the free plan. Split a very large document into parts if needed.
Will the fad show the page or section?
The fad answers from the text in your document and, when the document names sections or page numbers, it can mention them. Clear headings in your file help. A well-structured PDF gives better answers than a messy one.
Is my document safe?
Your file is used only to answer questions in your fad. It is not used to train anything. Set visibility to private so only approved Google emails can chat, or unlisted so only people with the link can.
Can I add several documents to one fad?
Yes, up to 10 sources. For example, a policy wording PDF, a claim form guide, and a question-answer list of common doubts. The fad searches across all of them to find the answer.
