- HR answers "WFH policy kya hai" on Slack twenty times a month, and the handbook already says it.
- New joiners do not know whom to ask, so they ask the wrong person and get the wrong answer.
- Policies change, but the old PDF keeps circulating on WhatsApp groups.
- Employee handbook: leave, attendance, work from home, dress code, holidays list
- Reimbursement and travel policy with limits and the claim process
- IT and asset policy: laptops, software requests, security rules
- Onboarding guide for new joiners: documents, first week, tools, whom to contact
- POSH policy, grievance process and the names of committee members
- Benefits: insurance, PF, gratuity, as explained in your own documents
How it works
Set it up once. It answers every day.
- 1
Upload the handbook, set it private
Sign in with Google, create fad.fyi/yourcompany and set visibility to private. Upload the handbook PDF, policies and onboarding guide. Add question-and-answer pairs for the questions HR hears most, with the exact official wording.
- 2
Allow your employees' emails
Add the Google emails of your staff to the allowed list. Only they can open the fad, after signing in. Share the link in your onboarding email and pin it in the team chat.
- 3
Keep it current, learn from gaps
When a policy changes, replace the file and the answer changes everywhere at once. The Teach tab shows questions the fad could not answer, which tells HR exactly which policy needs to be written down.
Why it matters
What changes for you
Questions people ask
Is our handbook safe on fad.fyi?
The fad is private, so only the Google emails you allow can open it, after signing in. Your documents are used only to answer questions on your fad and are not used to train any model. Avoid uploading salary data or personal records; keep it to policies and processes.
Can it tell an employee their own leave balance or salary?
No. The fad does not connect to your HR software or payroll. It explains the policy, for example how many leaves everyone gets per year, and then points the person to the HR portal or the HR email you set. Personal data stays in your systems.
We have 80 employees. Do they all need Google accounts?
They need a Google email to sign in to a private fad. If your company uses Google Workspace, that is already done. If you use another email system, employees can sign in with a personal Gmail that you add to the allowed list.
Our policies are in English but many staff prefer Hindi. Does that work?
Yes. An employee can ask "leave policy kya hai" in Hinglish and the fad explains the English handbook in Hinglish. Someone else asks in English and gets English. Both get the same policy, which is often clearer than a forwarded PDF.
Can we see what employees are asking?
The dashboard shows every chat, which helps HR spot confusion, like many people asking about the new leave encashment rule. Be open with your team that chats are visible to the fad owner. The Teach tab lists unanswered questions so you know which policy to write next.
