How it works
In three steps.
- 1
Sign in and name it
Tap Sign in with Google. Type a name for your fad, like Sharma Sweets, and pick your address at fad.fyi/yourname. The live check tells you if it is free.
- 2
Pick what it is for
Choose business, course, documents, personal, products or general. This sets a sensible welcome message and three suggested questions, which you can edit any time. Then feed it a file, a link or some text.
- 3
Shape, try, share
Pick your accent colour and avatar. Ask a few questions in Try to see real answers. Then share the link, the QR code, or paste the widget on your website.
Why it matters
What changes for you
- Have one file or your WhatsApp intro message ready before you start. Setup is faster.
- Pick the purpose carefully. It shapes the welcome and the suggested questions.
- Try at least five real questions before sharing. Fix gaps with a Q&A pair.
Questions people ask
Do I need a website or a credit card to start?
No. You need a Google account and something to feed your fad, like a PDF, a web page link or a few lines of text. The Free plan needs no card. Pro, with more fads and sources, is coming soon.
Can I do the whole setup on my phone?
Yes. fad.fyi is built to work on a phone. You can sign in, type the name, upload a file from your phone storage or WhatsApp downloads, pick colours, try questions and share the link, all without a computer.
What if I get interrupted halfway?
Nothing is lost. Everything saves as you go, so close the browser whenever a customer walks in. When you return and sign in, your fad is exactly where you left it, still in draft until you choose to publish.
What does the purpose choice change?
It sets a sensible starting welcome message and three suggested questions that match the kind of fad you are making, for example a business, a course, a set of documents, a personal page, a product shop or something general. You can edit all of it afterwards.
