- A QR code of fad.fyi/yourname on the share screen
- Scan with any phone camera, no app to install
- Print it on counters, menus, visiting cards and posters
- Opens the same chat page as your link, with your look and welcome
How it works
In three steps.
- 1
Open Share
In your fad, open the Share screen. Your link fad.fyi/yourname is there, and below it a QR code of the same link. Save or screenshot the code.
- 2
Print it
Add the code to your menu card, a counter standee, your visiting card or a poster. Write one line next to it, like Scan to ask about prices and timings.
- 3
Customers scan and ask
A customer points the phone camera at the code. Your chat page opens in the browser with your welcome message and suggested questions. They type, in Hinglish if they like, and get answers.
Why it matters
What changes for you
- Print the code at least 3 cm wide so phones can scan it from a normal distance.
- Add a short line such as Scan to ask in Hindi or English. People need a reason to scan.
- If you change your address later, reprint the code. The old link redirects for only 30 days.
Questions people ask
Do customers need an app to scan it?
No. The camera app on almost every phone reads QR codes. The customer points the camera at the code, taps the link that pops up, and your chat page opens in the browser. Nothing to install, nothing to sign in to for a public fad.
Can I put my logo or colour on the QR code?
The share screen gives you a plain code that scans reliably. If you want a styled code with your logo, you can make one in any QR tool using your link fad.fyi/yourname. It will open the same chat page. Test it with two phones before printing in bulk.
What happens if I change my fad address?
Your QR code points to the old address. After a change, the old address redirects to the new one for 30 days, so printed codes keep working during that time. Reprint with the new code before the 30 days end.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Scans themselves are not counted separately. But every conversation that starts from the code appears in your Chat history, with time and language. If most chats arrive during shop hours, you know the counter code is working.
