Acceptable use

A fad speaks for you. Use it for honest, lawful purposes. Short version: do not pretend to be someone else, do not break the law, do not harm people.

You may

• Create fads for your business, work, studies, projects or personal portfolio.
• Feed content you own or have the right to use.
• Share your fad anywhere, including on other websites with the widget.

You may not

• Impersonate a brand, a government body, a bank or another person. Reserved addresses enforce part of this; the rest is on you.
• Feed or share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes someone’s copyright or privacy.
• Use a fad for scams, phishing, misleading offers, gambling, drugs, weapons, or to collect sensitive data such as passwords, OTPs or card numbers.
• Spam, scrape, overload or try to break fad.fyi or other users’ fads.
• Pass off AI answers as professional legal, medical or financial advice without a clear human in the loop.

What happens if you break this

We may take a fad private, remove content, or close an account, depending on the harm. Where the law requires, we cooperate with authorities. You can report a fad from the contact page; choose “Report a fad”.
