Welcome message

A welcome message is the first line a chatbot shows when a visitor opens the chat, before they type anything.

The welcome message is the chatbot's hello. It appears the moment the chat opens, before the visitor types a word. It tells the person where they are, what they can ask, and sets the tone. A blank or confusing welcome makes people leave; a clear, warm one makes them start typing.

A good welcome message is short and specific. Name the business. Say what the bot can help with. Invite a question. 'Namaste, this is Sharma Sweets. Ask me about our menu, prices, delivery or timings.' Write it in the language your visitors use most, including Hinglish if that is natural for them.

On fad.fyi, you set the welcome message in the Voice tab, along with your tone, languages, three suggested questions and a tagline. It is the first thing visitors see on fad.fyi/yourname and in the website widget. You can change it any time, and the change saves as you go.

Example'Hi, I am the Bright Minds Coaching helper. Ask me about batches, fees or admissions.'
