Glossary
A PDF is a document file that keeps its layout the same on every phone and computer, so what you send is what people see.
PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It is the file type most people use for a brochure, a fee list, a syllabus, a menu or an invoice. The point of a PDF is that it looks the same everywhere: on a phone, a laptop or a printer. Word, Google Docs and Canva can all export to PDF.
A PDF can contain real text or just a picture of a page. A PDF made from a document has real text that software can read. A PDF made by scanning or photographing a paper has only an image. Text-based PDFs give the best results when a program needs to read them.
You can upload PDFs up to 25 MB as sources for your fad. After upload, the file shows a Waiting status while it is being read, and then your fad can answer from it. A text-based PDF, like one exported from Word, works best. For a scanned paper, paste the key text instead.
