Why your chatbot should only answer from your own content
A chatbot that guesses can cost you a customer. Here is why a fad answers only from what you feed it, says "I do not know" and hands over to WhatsApp.
The problem with a chatbot that guesses
Imagine a customer asks your chatbot, "Do you deliver to Noida Sector 62?" A bot that guesses might say yes, just to be helpful. Now the customer orders, you cannot deliver, and you have an angry customer and a refund. A wrong answer is worse than no answer.
General AI tools know a lot about the world and nothing about your shop. Ask them your timings, your prices or your return policy and they may make something up with full confidence. For a business, that is a risk you do not need to take.
What "only from your content" means
A fad answers from the files, links, text, Q&A pairs and product lists you feed it. Nothing else. When someone asks about fees, it looks at your fee document. When someone asks about delivery, it looks at what you wrote about delivery. If you wrote nothing, it has nothing to say.
That sounds like a limit, and it is. But it is the limit you want. It means every answer can be traced back to something you wrote or uploaded. It means that when you fix a file, you fix the answers. You stay in charge of what your business says.
"I do not know" is a good answer
When a fad cannot find the answer in your content, it says so. It does not fill the gap with a guess. For a customer, an honest "I do not know, let me connect you to a person" builds more trust than a confident wrong answer that falls apart later.
For you, every "I do not know" is a signal. It shows up in the Teach tab as an unanswered question. You write the answer once and it becomes a Q&A pair. Next time, the fad answers. Your content grows exactly where customers need it, and nowhere else.
Hand over to a human when it matters
Some questions need a person: a bulk order, a complaint, a special request. A fad can show a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with you, with the question already typed in. You decide when it appears: when someone asks for a person, also when the fad cannot answer, or never.
This is the right division of work. The fad handles the repeated questions about timings and prices. You handle the few that need a human. Nobody is left waiting without an answer or without a way forward, and you are not stuck replying to the same message all day.
Q&A pairs: answers exactly as you wrote them
For things that must be exact, like prices, policies and legal lines, use Q&A pairs. A Q&A pair is answered exactly as written, word for word. No rephrasing. This is how you keep control of the lines that matter most to your business.
Use a mix. Upload your brochure and website pages for the broad picture. Add Q&A pairs for the exact lines. Check the Chats tab and the Teach tab every week. In a few weeks, your fad reflects your business the way you want it to, in your own words.
