On Shopify, open the theme editor and paste the line into the theme.liquid file before the closing body tag. On WordPress, paste it in your theme footer or a header-footer code plugin. On Google Sites, use the Embed option.

Can the button open with a welcome message?

Yes. Write a welcome message and three suggested questions in your fad settings. When a visitor taps the button, they see your welcome and can tap a suggested question like "Do you deliver?" to start.

Does the website visitor need to log in?

Not for a public fad. Anyone on your website can tap and chat. If you set the fad to private, only allowed Google emails can chat, which suits a members-only or internal website.
