Guide ยท 5 minutes
Read your chats and learn what customers want
Every question a visitor asks is a small piece of market research. The Chats tab on your Manage page shows the conversations your fad had. This guide shows how to read them, spot the questions it struggled with and turn them into better sources and answers.
- 1
Open the Chats tab
Go to fad.fyi/app, open your fad and tap Chats. Here you can read the conversations visitors had with your fad: what they asked and what it replied. Start with the most recent ones.
- 2
Look for repeated questions
Read ten chats. Note the questions that appear again and again. If three people asked about delivery and your sources say nothing about it, that is your first fix. Write it down.
- 3
Spot the "I do not know" replies
When the fad did not know, it says so. Each such reply is a gap in your sources. These also appear in the Teach tab as unanswered questions, where you can answer them in one step.
- 4
Find the leads
Some chats are buyers: "Is this in stock?", "Can I book for Sunday?". If they used the WhatsApp handoff, you already have them on WhatsApp. If not, turn handoff on in Contact & handoff so you do not miss the next one.
- 5
Fix the sources
Add what is missing in Feed it: a page link, a short text, a Q&A pair or a new PDF. Replace outdated files. Then open Try it and ask the same questions to see the new answers.
- 6
Set a weekly reminder
Pick one day a week to read chats and teach. Ten minutes is enough. Over time you will see fewer unanswered questions and more direct answers, which means fewer WhatsApp interruptions during busy hours.
- Read chats on your phone at night. Ten chats take five minutes.
- Thumbs-down replies tell you which answers to rewrite.
- The Chats tab also shows you what people want to buy next.
Questions people ask
Can I see who the visitor is?
Visitors to a Public or Unlisted fad do not have to tell you who they are, so you see the question, not the person. When someone taps the WhatsApp handoff, the chat continues on your WhatsApp with their number. If you need to know who asks, use a Private fad with allowed emails.
Are chats private?
Only you can see them, on your Manage page. The visitor sees only their own conversation. The content is not used to train anything. It stays with your fad to help you improve the answers.
What should I do with a question I cannot answer?
If it is a real question, write the answer in the Teach tab or add it as a Q&A pair in Feed it. If it is spam or a joke, dismiss it in Teach. If it needs a person, make sure WhatsApp handoff is turned on so the next visitor reaches you.
