Delete or rename a fad
Needs change. Your shop gets a new name, a course batch ends, or you made a test fad you no longer want. All of this lives in the Settings tab of your Manage page. This guide shows how to rename, change the address safely and delete a fad.

Open Settings
Go to fad.fyi/app, open the fad and tap the Settings tab. Here you can change the name, change the address, set visibility, manage allowed emails for a Private fad and delete the fad.

Rename the fad
Change the name field and save. The name is what {name} in your welcome message turns into. The address does not change when you rename, so your links and QR codes still work.

Change the address with care
Type the new address in Settings and save. The old address redirects to the new one for 30 days. Use that time to reprint QR codes and update your Instagram bio, website widget code and WhatsApp messages.

Before you delete, think
Deleting removes the fad and everything you fed it. The link stops working and the QR codes you printed go dead. If you only want to pause, set visibility to Private instead.

Delete by typing the address
In Settings, find the delete option. Type the fad address exactly to confirm. This step protects you from deleting by mistake. Then confirm, and the fad is removed.
- Make a test fad first, then delete it. You have 3 fads on the Free plan.
- Copy your Q&A answers somewhere before deleting, in case you need them later.
- A Private fad is a good pause button. Nobody can chat, nothing is lost.
Questions people ask
Can I get a deleted fad back?
Treat deletion as final. That is why you must type the address to confirm. If you are not sure, switch the fad to Private instead. It stays saved, nobody else can use it, and you can make it Public again later.
What happens to the old address after I change it?
For 30 days, anyone who opens the old address is sent to the new one. That covers printed QR codes and old links for a while. Update everything you can within those 30 days: Instagram bio, the website widget code and any posters.
Does renaming reset my sources or chats?
No. Renaming changes only the name. Changing the address changes only the link. Your sources, Q&A pairs, colours, welcome message and chats stay exactly as they are. Only deleting removes them, and that needs you to type the address first.
